DRCM: At one time I could crawl under this engine, I knew all the oiling points and how it worked and gained my firing certificate on it. Sadly life got in the way and I had to discontinue my time with the society. At the moment the engine seems to be undergoing heavy maintenance its saddle tank having been removed.

DRCM: Peckett, 1953 built 0-4-0, ‘Northern Gas Board No.1’ I cannot remember the full story of this engine but I believed it worked at Darlington Gas works and then moved to a couple of other gas works in the north east before ending up at a tar works on the river Tyne where it was bought for preservation.Previous | NextDRCM: Is this the boiler from the NELPG owned P3 visiting the NELPG works?
